Making Metadata Work Harder: Celebrating 15 Years of Dublin Core
DC-2010 International Conference on Dublin Core and Metadata Applications
DC-2010 marks the 15th anniversary of Dublin Core and the 10th year of the Annual Conference. To celebrate and reflect on the past and future, conference participants will engage in investigations in both research and application entailing advances that make metadata work harder in ways beyond the originally identified need for better resource discovery.
DC-2010 will take place 20-22 October 2010 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. The conference will be held in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the American Society for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T) which is scheduled for 22-27 October 2010 in the same location.
Since 2001, the DCMI Conferences and Workshop Series has been called "The International Conference on DublinCore and Metadata Applications". Conferences include a Tutorial track, a peer-reviewed Conference track, Special Sessions and Community meetings and are attended by hundreds of experts from around the world.
